Foam saber battles will take place in the garden behind the Ai Hoshi Entertainment area from 10:30am-3:30pm. The battle are first come first served.

Foam Saber Battle Rules

1. Equipment Specifications:
   • Each contestant will be provided with a Saber in round one.
2. Battle Setup:
   • Battles are 1 v 1.
   • Contestants must stay within the battle zone indicated by the cones surrounding the zone.
   • Combatants start in opposite corners of the battle zone.
   • Inside the ring, there is one referee to call plays; outside the ring, observers may call any unfair sportsmanship or plays unseen by internal ring referee.
3. Initiating Combat:
   • Inside Ring Referee calls "Fight" to commence the battle.
   • Combatants may tap blades before fighting as a gesture of politeness.
4. Scoring System:
   • First to touch wins a point.
   • Hits to hands and head do not count for points.
   • Ring Referee will indicate points by waving the color flag of the contestant.
   • First to score 5 points will continue to the second round. The losing contestant will leave the ring and a new contestant will join the ring to compete with the current champion.
   • The first contestant to last three separate battles will be declared winner.
5. Fair Play and Sportsmanship:
   • Combatants are encouraged to acknowledge fair play and sportsmanship.
   • If a combatant is hit and the Referee does not see it, they may stop the round and inform the Referee. This act is recognized as "Good Honor."

These rules aim to ensure a fair, enjoyable, and respectful environment for all participants in the foam saber battles.
