The Economic Development Advisory Committee (the “EDAC”) originally consisted of 10 members of the Vacaville business community, a cross-section of community stakeholders.
 
The committee was created to establish economic development proposals to assist the City in providing a business-friendly climate, provide more jobs for our residents, and to assist in bringing new revenue to the City.  The committee continues to meets every other month on the last Thursday of the month.  Meeting months include January, March, May, July, September and November. The EDAC is comprised of ten members with small business owners, local commercial developers, tourism officials, chamber of commerce’s and various at large citizens comprising of the committee.
 
The EDAC continues to add value to the efforts of City staff, as it provides a means of sharing data and developing solutions to issues impacting the business community.  The EDAC role is cross functional. It serves as a voice of business, surfacing suggestions or concerns in an appropriately positive environment.  It also serves as a focus group/sounding board for the Economic Development Manager, Community Development Director and their staff, as demonstrated by the past work on the Economic Vitality Strategy and input on such endeavors as the development of specific projects throughout Vacaville.

The schedule for the Quarterly Economic Development Advisory Committee meetings are:

  • Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at 1 p.m.
  • Thursday, June 27, 2024, at 8:30 a.m.
  • Thursday, September 26, 2024, at 8:30 a.m.
  • Thursday, December 19, 2024, at 8:30 a.m.
