HOME MenuCapital Improvement Program (CIP)
A Capital Improvement Program (CIP) is a working blueprint for building and sustaining a community's publicly funded physical infrastructure. The purpose of a CIP is to identify capital improvement projects, identify and forecast funding sources, prioritize improvements based on available funding, and estimate a timeline for completion of individual improvements.
A capital improvement project is any major improvement to City facilities and infrastructure. Projects may include construction renovation or replacement of City buildings, parks and pools, repaving of streets, traffic signal upgrades and coordination, replacement or installation of new water, sewer and stormwater lines. Collectively, these projects are referred to as Capital Improvement Projects. Capital improvement projects are varied, so some may require years of planning and construction while others may be completed in a shorter timeframe.
