The City of Vacaville has developed an Advanced Manufacturing Initiative to attract more manufacturers. We’ve beefed up our economic development staff; streamlined the approval process; and are working with our elected officials to develop incentives to encourage investment in our community.

    Facilities

Since 2020, the City has entitled 1.6 million square feet of industrial spaces, with over 600,000 square feet of manufacturing facilities ready for you to occupy.

    Location

Vacaville is centrally located in Northern California, a short drive from the Central Bay Area, Silicon Valley, and the state capital in Sacramento. Our location provides access to three international airports, air cargo, two deep water ports, and Interstates 80 and 505.

    Workforce

In partnership with the Schools of Engineering from University of California Davis and University of California Berkeley. Your company will have access to Engineers ready for industry whether you’re talking about EV automobiles, clean technologies, artificial hearts, medical devices and instrumentation, or machinery manufacturing. And in our own backyard Solano College offers an Advanced Manufacturing curriculum with a state-of-the-art Advanced Manufacturing Lab where they are producing the top manufacturing production technicians in Northern California.
