    The Vacaville Police Department brings together a multidisciplinary team consisting of detectives, social workers, and family support workers to address the needs of families, senior citizens and children in response to family violence. The teams are comprised of The Family Resource Center (FRC) and the Special Victims Unit (SVU).

    • Safety planning

    • Restraining Order assistance 

    • Court accompaniment  

    • Domestic violence support groups

    • Transportation 

    • Counseling 

    • Basic needs resourcing

    • Spanish language services

    Elder Abuse

    • Investigation of physical and sexual abuse and neglect

    • Fiduciary crimes

    • Resource linkage

    • Counseling information and referral

    • Collaboration with Adult Protective Services

    Child Abuse

    • Investigation of physical, sexual abuse and neglect

    • Criminal Prosecution

    • Forensic interviews

    • Partnership with Child Welfare Services.

    • Resource linkage

    • Parenting skill building 

    • Basic needs resourcing

    • Referral for therapy

    • Parenting classes (English & Spanish)
