     Water Loss Adjustment Policy

The City of Vacaville recognizes that there are circumstances which result in the unintended high use of water. Leaks are often silent or invisible. Although detection and repair of leaks on the property and/or the property owner's side of the meter are the responsibility of the customer, the City of Vacaville may make a billing adjustment in some circumstances. View the Water Loss Adjustment Policy.

An eligible water customer who suspects or discovers a leak may contact Utility Billing Customer Service Staff at (707) 449-5128 to request an inspection by Field Service staff.

If a customer had a leak on their owned or leased property and it has been fixed, they may submit a completed Water Loss Adjustment Request Form. City staff will review the form and consider adjusting the bill to compensate for the excess water used.

    Monitor Water Usage

Customers can monitor water usage or check for leaks by examining the water meter associated with their property. Learn How to Read the Meter and Check for Leaks.

Report a Leak or other Maintenance Issue on Public Property
