    Facilities Naming Policy:

    • The naming of City facilities is a serious undertaking. The City receives requests to name or rename a public facility from time to time, as well as offers to donate funds, land, and equipment with associated dedications.

As a result, on January 27, 2009, the Vacaville City Council adopted a policy for the naming, dedication, and sponsorship of City facilities and acceptance of donations. The goal of the policy is to avoid undue commercialism and the use of inappropriate names, and to institute a fair, objective, and consistent process with thoughtful and purposeful criteria for the consideration of the acceptance of donations and naming requests.
