The Lagoon Valley Dog and Archery Parks will be under construction beginning August 19, 2024 though mid January 2025.

The front entrance to Lagoon Valley Park has now been re-opened. The southern entrance has been re-fitted with tiger teeth, now only allowing outgoing traffic. To ensure smooth and safe access, all park users should exclusively enter through the front (main) entrance.

Scout Loop Trail will be closed at the north end for bridge construction beginning October 29 through December 20. The bridge area is planned for closure again February 19, 2025, through May 5, 2025 while the new bridge is installed. Access to the trail (from the south end) will still be available during the closures; however, users will not be able to complete the loop at the bridge.

Rentable Picnic Areas Available

100 Pena Adobe Road • I-80/Peña Adobe Park Exit

This 306-acre scenic park is home to a wide variety of outdoor entertainment located by Lagoon Lake, a 100-acre lake that may be used for non-motorized boating. There are walking paths to the lovely Hume, Rotary, and Hospice Groves and miles of multi-use hiking, equestrian, and biking trails that provide public access into several hundred acres of adjoining Open Space. Rentable small-group picnic shelter that is perfect for family reunions and company picnics. Individual picnic tables throughout the park. The park is also ideal for sporting events, such as walkathons and cross country events.

Lagoon Valley Park Parking Information

LAGOON VALLEY PARK PARKING AREAS

There are two electronic pay stations available at Lagoon Valley Park that accept exact cash, debit cards and credit cards. Exact change ONLY. No change will be given. The PARK MOBILE APP (Zone# 2789) is available for those who wish to pay through the app for the daily parking fee only.

For those using the park to pay pay station to enter and use the parking lot, there is a $5 daily cost and an option to purchase a $25 six month pass after which one can upgrade to an annual pass for an additional $25. Walk in pedestrians, equestrians, and bicyclists do not need a permit.

If you have a vehicle with a DV (Disabled Veteran) plate, there is no vehicle charge to enter the park.

Anyone purchasing a pass will only be allowed one (1) vehicle per pass.

To Purchase a 6-Month Pass:

You will need to take the following steps:

Tap on the keypad to wake up the system (it’s solar)
Enter your vehicle license plate number (click ok) – PLEASE BE SURE THAT YOU ENTERED YOUR PLATE CORRECTLY. If not, cancel to start over.
Select 1: Purchase Day/6m Pass (click ok)
Select Option 2: $25 six month pass (click ok)
Click No – Do you have an existing pass?
You will need to enter either a credit/debit card or exact cash (no change and no refunds given)

Select OK for receipt

(if you did not receive a receipt, please email RecWeb@cityofvacaville.com to request a receipt and provide your vehicle license plate number.

You are finished.

To Purchase an Annual Month Pass:

If you want to extend the six month pass to an annual pass, do this:

Take the following steps to extend the six month pass for an additional six months/an annual pass

Tap on the keypad to wake up the system (it’s solar)
Enter your vehicle license plate number again (click ok)
Select 2: Upgrade 6m Pass to Yr (click ok)
Select Option 1: $25 six month pass (click ok)
You will need to enter either a credit/debit card or exact cash
Waiting for the transaction to process, remove card, click ok for receipt

Solano Outdoor Explorer Quest

Kick off summer with a quest! The City of Vacaville Parks and Recreation Department has partnered with SCOE to bring you the Solano Outdoor Explorer Quest at Lagoon Valley Park. This outdoor treasure hunt, similar to Geocaching, offering students and families the adventure of using a Quest map to find hidden QR codes around Lagoon Valley Park. Each Questcache leads to discovery of native plants and animals living in the park through videos and a secret Questcache log to record your discoveries. The Quest is a great opportunity for students to get outside with their families, do some exploring, learn new things and connect with nature and the outdoors.

Peña Adobe Historic Area

The Peña Adobe Historic Area is an 8-acre park that includes the historic Peña Adobe home and the Mowers-Goheen Museum that hosts a free event on the first Saturday of the month, visit the Peña Adobe Historical Society website for more information. This is an ideal location for family picnics, birthday parties, corporate events, festivals, and school field trips.
