Preschool

City of Vacaville Preschool is a long-standing, safe, and positive environment that supports the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of each child. Our hands-on approach to learning promotes exploration, creativity, and discovery. Our teachers and staff are sensitive to individual differences and developmental stages of all children and apply appropriate practices to the classroom. The curriculum is designed around monthly themes that provide a well-rounded preschool experience while fostering a child's natural curiosity for learning.

2024-2025 School Year

REGISTRATION for the 2024-2025 School Year opens May 6, 2024. School begins on September 3^rdfor 3-year old classes and September 4^th for the 4-year old classes.

Sites for the 4 year olds MWF – Callison/Meadowlands, Foxboro, & Three Oaks *****Subject to change based on registration

Initial registration must be made IN-PERSON at one of our Community Centers:

Three Oaks Community Center: 8am-7pm Monday-Thursday / 8am-5pm Friday
Ulatis Community Center: 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday
McBride Community Center: 8:30am-3:30pm Monday-Thursday / 8:30am-12:30pm Friday

Registration Requirements

Registration Requirements for Three and Four Year Old Programs:

Initial registration must be made in person at one of our Community Centers
Children must be the age required on or before September 1, 2024.

Preschool for Three Year Olds: Children must be 3 on or before September 1, 2024.
Preschool for Four Year Olds: Children must be 4 on or before September 1, 2024.

Original birth certificate
Copy of current immunization records
Children must be completely potty trained, no pullups.
Bring no foods with peanuts. WE ARE PEANUT/TREE NUT FREE.

Fees

Fees Due at Initial Registration:

- $100 non-refundable annual registration fee
- $50 supply fee
- Non-refundable first month's tuition payment:
- $284 for 3 Year Olds T/TH
- $390 for 4 Year Olds M/W/F
This is a continuous school year program. All sessions are monthly, and tuition is calculated at the same monthly cost from Sept to May based on the full number of days of attendance and then averaged. The ONLY time we pro-rate a payment would be for a new student beginning after the first of the month. No other pro-rations are provided for missed days. ****NO NEW STUDENTS WILL BE ADDED AFTER FEBRUARY.

Late Fees: A $25 late fee will be charged after the due date. Late fees are strictly enforced.

New Students: No new students will be added to the current school year after the month of February.

Three Year Old Classes

City of Vacaville’s Preschool program provides children in this age group with learning activities that are perfect for their developmental stage. In addition to gross motor activities in a safe environment, children participate in varied language experiences through games, nursery rhymes, poems, finger plays, and conversation. It is at this stage that the children concentrate on independence and self-help skills.

Four Year Old Class

The teaching staff introduces preschool children to math, science, language, and art through weekly themes and projects. Self-expression is also encouraged through music and art activities. We provide developmentally appropriate instruction offering our children challenges that foster self-esteem and self-awareness. The learning environment is culturally diverse, and children develop a positive self-image and respect for others.
