Dinner For Eight Plus More
A fundraiser for the Vacaville Museum
This year’s Vacaville Museum fundraiser, “Dinner for Eight”, will offer a great new concept. Four lucky winners will be able to choose from four amazing prizes, in the order that the tickets are drawn. One choice is, of course, the elegant Dinner for Eight, to be held Saturday, March 7, 2015, at the magnificent Hartley House, owned by Mark and Lu-Ann Chambers. The winner and 7 guests will enjoy before dinner drinks and appetizers, accompanied by violinist Sarah VanBuskirk. This will be followed by a lovely meal prepared by talented Guild members, which will include a special dessert, made and presented by Heidi Campini, called King Tut’s Treasure, a luscious, over the top finale to a highly memorable gourmet dinner. Flowers will be provided by the Pollen Mill, in Vacaville.
Two other choices include a Luncheon for Eight, catered by Daniel Bell of Chef to Go, at the home of Bob and Lucia Morales, and a Tea for Eight+4, at the home of Frank and Anita Lopez. All three lovely homes are on Buck Avenue and are rich in history, which will be provided by Museum Docents.
The final choice will be a tour and cocktail hour at the home on Kendal St, of the late artist and Vacaville treasure, Don Birrell, whose Nut Tree and other commercial art is still visible throughout Solano County. His work also includes beautiful landscapes from here and around the world. This tour is the first ever offered by his family. Dates for the luncheon, tea, and tour are to be determined by the winners and home owners.
Tickets are $20 per chance and will go on sale December 15th, at the Vacaville Museum, 213 Buck Ave, Tuesdays, 9am-5pm, and Wed-Sun, 1-4:30 pm. Tickets will also be on sale at the Pure Grain Bakery, 11 Town Square, Vacaville, at Famous Creations, 835 Texas St, in Fairfield, and at Mae’s Attic, 170 W. B St, in Dixon. The winning prize tickets will be drawn on March 1st, and winners will be notified immediately. For more information, call 707-447-4513.
